There are officially 30 days until my favourite holiday arrives. I feel the joyful spirit in me increasing as the days pass by. The lights in my town have already been switched on, the lovely carols are sounding everywhere I go, and the frosty weather has quickly arrived. So, it’s only fair we start decorating our home for Christmas as well. 😊
But of course, we cannot do this in a rush or deliriously think we can finish it in one day. No, no … it’s a whole blissful process. We have to enjoy every minute of it, and we have to be emotionally attached to every single Christmas decoration. And remember that the most important ingredient is love. 💗
However, perhaps just keep in mind one tiny but crucial suggestion: we need to make sure that our decor is chromatically and visually balanced throughout our home. It doesn’t matter if we want to go all out or prefer to keep it minimal. What truly matters is creating a continuous, personal Christmas wonderland across our space. ❄️
Also, we shouldn’t forget to be grateful while doing it. 🙏

- A Peek Through Our Window Is A Fairytale Come True

I deeply believe that this is the most emotional way to connect with others during the festive season … a peek through the window from a beloved friend, neighbour, or even a stranger. We want them to feel the magic of Christmas, to embrace the warmth and kindness that becomes increasingly palpable at this time of year. The decor of our windows is, most of all, for them, not for us.
It’s so heartwarming how we empathise with one another during the holidays. 🎅 Wouldn’t it be amazing if we carried this spirit with us all year round? That’s a thought for another time…
I suggest we decorate our window (whichever one we choose as the lucky winner) just as we’d like it to look in someone else’s home. When we pass by in the frosty cold, ❄️ what would we love to see? Picture that moment, and I promise you, you’ll close your eyes and imagine the perfect corner bathed in warm, glowing light. How lovely it is to share this joy with everyone who passes by! 🌟
So, what could make this picture ideal? Definitely, we’d want some fake snow to balance the frosted window. Perhaps a cute Santa climbing with his bag of gifts, some snow-covered Christmas trees, and a couple of cheerful reindeer. Oh, it makes me smile just thinking about this little scene! You know, this is where we can let our imagination take over. We could even add a charming sleigh or figurines of children playing in the snow near their small houses. But everything needs to be lit up with warm fairy lights and battery-operated candles. After all, safety comes first! 😉
- Stay Cosy And Spread Joy!

Another thing that the holidays are all about is staying indoors, feeling warm and cosy. Allowing ourselves to indulge in candy, good movies, or a fantastic book without feeling guilty, or thinking that we are wasting time. It’s all about laughter, smiles, love, and an abundance of generosity. 🤗
But… we need our weapons to make it happen. Loads and loads of fluffy blankets on our sofa, knitted soft throws, and plush Christmas cushions are a must. I am particularly a fan of Joy-inscribed stylish cushions. This succinct, but powerful word is an instant reminder of what life should feel like. 🙃
Another element is a fluffy sheepskin rug, placed wherever we feel it may belong. We need to be as comfortable as possible in our homes and make the most of every detail. I imagine my sofa filled with all this cosiness, and I’m already thinking of which books I’ll cuddle up with in this reading nook. 😊 To make things even more heavenly, we can scatter a couple of battery-operated candles around. The warm light makes everything feel even dreamier.
- Every Room Should Have Its Own Magic

We can’t go from one room to another and simply break the spell of Christmas. Every corner of the house should be sprinkled with cute decorations and let me tell you about my favourite thing to do. I love draping all my big mirrors with warm white fairy lights and leaving them on all the time. I actually don’t even use normal lighting during this time … it’s all about the twinkle! 😍 And believe me, it looks so out of this world. There’s just something about the pairing of small lights and glass that is absolutely fascinating.
Moving on… wherever I have a chair, an armchair, or a sofa chair, I simply drape a plush knitted throw over it and add an adorable cushion. Of course, I always make sure to stick to the colour palette I’ve chosen for this Christmas (I switch it up every year 😅).
You may say that I’m crazy, but I have a personal tradition I do every year… You see, I have this mannequin that I use a lot to take pictures for my Vinted account. However, when winter comes, I dress it up in my furry coat and wrap it in twinkling lights. 😁 I’m not exaggerating, but it looks so luxurious, like vintage beauty. I totally recommend you try it too! What personal tips do you have for me? 🤔
- The Mystical Sound Of Crackling Fire

Luckily, we live in a world that offers us so many possibilities to create our own ‘cabin in the mountains’ vibe. When I was little and spent the holidays at my grandparents’ house, I loved the sound of the crackling fire in their fireplace during winter. Back then, they didn’t actually have the option of any other heating. But now, I miss it so much and have come to realise it was the most bohemian way to welcome winter. Plus, it was incredibly warm … no complaints about high electricity bills or keeping an optimal temperature. Just enough chopped wood to keep the fire going and a simpler way of living. I truly miss it with all my heart. 💛
But we must adapt to ever-evolving times and find new ways to relive our most precious memories. Or create new, even happier ones. Besides, what is Christmas without the burnt orange hues of dancing flames?
So, we absolutely need candles in our lives, and this time, the real ones. I love lighting large candles on my adorable fireplace. This combination is so dreamy that I can spend hours just gazing at it while listening to the soft symphony of rhythmic pops and hisses. It’s the sound that brings a sense of calm, transporting us to a tranquil space where time slows down. It’s actually one of the few moments when my brain stops overthinking. My mind simply relaxes. What a luxury that is, am I right? 😊
We can even add lantern candle holders to create a charming scene around our fireplace. Perhaps some cute white reindeer figurines placed on a white sheepskin rug to evoke a sense of purity. Plus, it’s the perfect spot to hang our Christmas stockings and start getting ready to fill them up (which, incidentally, is what my next article is all about 😁). I simply adore this time of year!
- A Monochrome Dressing Gown For Our Christmas Tree

I can’t imagine a Christmas holiday without the imposing presence of our tree. It’s the tie that will never break between adulthood and childhood. At least for me, that’s why it is so immensely precious. 🎄
I do have a tip here: keeping a monochrome decor for the Christmas tree is the best way to achieve that glamorous, luxurious appeal. Trust me, I’ve tried all kinds of decor over the years, so my conclusion is well-researched. 😌
Another suggestion is to get a pre-snowed tree, and half the ‘work’ will already be done for us. Besides, it will look like a piece of the North Pole brought directly into our home. If we can’t find one, we can always use some fake snow and do it ourselves. I actually love spraying a bit of snow around my tree, on a sheepskin rug, and even a little on the baubles. It looks deliriously magical. ✨ Plus, a neutral-toned colour scheme is the best approach to dress the tree in maximum warmth and holiday comfort. This year, I will definitely go for cream (it looks amazingly soft on the eye).
In terms of decorating, I prefer just a few large baubles, lots and lots of warm white fairy lights, and some big organza bows. A few cute pre-lit Christmas presents underneath the tree complete the look. 🎁 Considering that we already have sprinkles of decor throughout the house, I believe this is more than enough for our long-awaited tree.
What do you think? 😊
- Sleep In Heavenly Peace

I sleep better throughout the Christmas period than I do the rest of the year. Perhaps it’s because I allow myself to invest in the fluffiest and softest throws and bedding sets imaginable. Our bed is a sanctuary, and we should treat it like royalty. Because that’s how it will treat us in return. 😊
To create the ultimate cosy haven, we should add layers of throws and knitted blankets, plush cushions, and teddy fleece bedding. This is the perfect recipe for ignoring the alarm in the morning (been there, done that! 😀)
What I particularly love to include in my bedroom decor are some charming pre-lit tree branches on each side of the bed. With fairy lights strung across the bedhead, it creates an ethereal and serene view for our sleepy eyes. ✨
We don’t have to stop there! We can bring our favourite Christmas-scented candles to the bedside tables, filling the room with festive aromas. Adding a sound machine that mimics the gentle hush of snow or frosted wind is another mesmerising touch. I guarantee you’ll sleep like a baby! 🎄✨
- A Cosy Kitchen For Some Hungry Elves

Kitchen… let’s face it, it’s one of the rooms we find ourselves in most of the time. Under no circumstances should we skip bringing the Christmas spirit into it. I have to confess, every time I finish decorating my kitchen, I perceive it as one of the cosiest places in my home. It is said that what enhances its charm is the added smell of freshly baked cookies 🍪, hot cocoa ☕, and mulled wine 🍷.
I can just picture myself sitting in silence on my plush cushioned chair, enjoying a hot chocolate and admiring the otherworldly work I’ve done. Not to praise myself or anything 😌, but isn’t that feeling so intense and gratifying? The one you get after finishing decorating your home? I believe you know exactly what I’m talking about. 😉
To make our kitchen as inviting as possible, we can start by incorporating some soft textures. Think fluffy cushions for our chairs or a soft rug under the dining table. A Christmas-themed cushion is also a fun way to jingle the bells between pots and spices.
A lovely idea would be to toss some fairy lights across our shelves and maybe even place them in a crystal bowl full of puffy marshmallows 🍬. Another seasonal detail could be a wooden tray adorned with some pre-lit snowed houses, a bottle of mulled wine, and a cinnamon-scented candle. Now… this is what I call a full picture! 😍🎅
- A Personal Christmas Spa

Final, but definitely not least, our bathroom decor must reflect the Christmas peace as well. Here, we have the opportunity to treat ourselves to soft, thick towels and luxurious bath mats. Think about opting for festive body lotions and shower gels, such as vanilla, cinnamon, or milk coffee. Remember that our olfactory senses are some of the most powerful tools for imprinting moments in our minds.
Let’s think of this month as a beautiful journey of comfort, warmth, and never-ending love. But… because love starts with ourselves, we can fully embrace this festive occasion to transform our bathroom into our whimsical personal spa. Scented candles can be scattered all around, with twinkling lights as their best companion ✨🕯️.
I can’t wait to fill my bathtub with bubbles, pour myself a glass of mulled wine, and light up all the candles around me . While, of course, listening to Michael Bublé’s Christmas carols 🎶. Well… since I’m just finishing writing this and it’s 9 PM, I think we all know where I’m heading right now. 😊
Happy bubble bath and happy decorating! 💛
