I like to mark the arrival of each season with specific scents. It is the only way for me to fully embrace the changing atmosphere in the air and to complement my outfits. It makes perfect sense. We change clothes from one season to another, so it’s imperative to switch our perfumes as well.
If, during the summer, I love to smell fresh and joyful, autumn tells a totally different story. Crisp air, orange leaves, and darker skies immerse me in a mysterious feeling. What I associate with this state of mind are more intense perfumes. The kind of fragrances only a confident, enigmatic woman would wear. I discovered Roberto Cavalli for Her seven years ago by simple accident. It was on offer at my favourite perfume shop, and I was just curious about the scent. Well… as you can imagine, it was love at first spritz. 😊 It’s a fragrance that immediately puts me in a festive mood. Roberto Cavalli for Her is an intense oriental-floral, based on notes of orange blossom, symbolising Italian femininity, sensuality, and extravagance. The top notes of pink pepper offer a soft, peppery kick. The sweetness of the perfume isn’t too strong but gently immerses all our olfactory senses.
As the fragrance settles, the base of tonka bean and vanilla shines through, creating this creamy, almost caramel-like depth that’s utterly addictive. It’s the sort of scent that feels like a cashmere scarf on a cold day. It’s inviting, embracing and perfect for cooler weather. I wouldn’t necessarily reach for it during the summer, as it might be a bit too intense. But for autumn and winter, Roberto Cavalli for Her feels just right. It’s the kind of perfume that complements cosy evenings and festive gatherings, making me feel classy and wrapped in finesse. Definitely a go-to when the temperature drops. 💃🎀

I must say that, from Givenchy, there isn’t a single perfume I don’t like. However, one that I consistently reach for as soon as the sun begins to fade is Givenchy Hot Couture.
